Captive

Somewhat surprisingly, best on black if you have the time or patience.
Brilliant for so many reasons...

Very cool!
November 29th, 2015
Yeah, it's good - the PoV is powerful - but I would have liked to have seen some hints of features in your face
November 29th, 2015
@vignouse Thanks very much - I debated about that but with my head down there were far too many chins to deal with...
@monty147 Thank you very much :)
@northy Thank you kindly, as always

Top notch..fav
November 29th, 2015
Love the PoV and the sun blocked out by your head. Fabulous shot Graeme.

pam
.....so........you are right about being even more powerful on black-you get the slightest hint of your eyes-
November 29th, 2015
Holy crap - this.......wow.......I feel compelled to say you magnificent bastard! (and I mean that as a compliment and in regard to the awesomeness of this photo) This is fantastic........

Great light and shadows
November 30th, 2015
Very interesting. Really wish I could zoom in and try to figure out where the light in your eyes and on your nose is coming from.
November 30th, 2015
Looks rather menacing so you have done well
November 30th, 2015
Very thought provoking and excellent shot.
November 30th, 2015
That ray of light makes it so powerful. Love the comp
November 30th, 2015
Another awesome shot. Brilliant perspective for the shot too.
November 30th, 2015
Jesus! Was that you? Thank god! Where's my wallet?
Lighting and sky and and pov and such brilliantly brilliant
November 30th, 2015
Reminiscent of a Roman Gladiator.
November 30th, 2015
Love how you are blocking the sun's rays!
November 30th, 2015
Just freakin' fantastic. That is all.
November 30th, 2015

November 30th, 2015

@carla42 Thanks very much - every now and then inspiration strikes
@888rachel Thanks very much, honestly didn't mean to provoke thought ;)
@adayinmallacoota Thanks very much :)
@gardencat There's a bloody great big spot light just west of my feet and another one slightly behind-ish me. And a ton of editing.
@amandalockie Thank you very much :)
@deak68 I haven't been called magnificent in quite some time. Bastard however is a daily occurrence. And thank you :)
@timewalker Thanks very much - slightly hung over so just a hint of the eyes is probably best ;)
@shepherdmanswife Thank you so much :) I do like blocking the sun...
@jack4john I thank you from the bottom of my twisted and blackened heart.
November 30th, 2015
It always amazes me how you get these shots of yourself. Most selfies don't look anywhere near as cool or as iconic as this one.
November 30th, 2015
Crepuscular!
November 30th, 2015
I hate to be serious but I feel the faceless figure says a lot about what a captive is to the captor.
November 30th, 2015
I much prefer this kind of 'selfie' - very clever!
November 30th, 2015
Love this!
November 30th, 2015
Oooooo. Get this, Graeme. So totally different. No one else thinks quite like you. Excellent.
November 30th, 2015
super portrait/result and very atmospheric too looks like it's cut out from a movie about slavery or those about early christian years with the Romans
November 30th, 2015
Incredible processing and idea. So awesomely creative!
November 30th, 2015
@graemestevens Thanks for the enlightenment :) I guess it is the feet one that is giving the eye highlights.
November 30th, 2015
Excellent shot!

@mindeater Thank you very much indeed :)
@365projectorgsebgritt Thanks very much - I think that's probably because I'm just not stable...
@nikharris Thank you very much :)
@jammyb I like the ones where I can't really be seen as well...and thanks :)
@joansmor I tend to agree but I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I'd intended that ;)
@guysnape Thank you kindly :)
@trinda Thank you so much - to be honest, most of it is purely accidental...I seem to have far too many "what if" moments
