It's amazing where a 130km per hour wind will insert sand on ones body. I can now reliably inform you all that I have been forcibly exfoliated both inside and out...take it from me, never bend over on a beach when the wind is that strong.
Best on black I suspect.
In terms of processing on this, for those interested - a crop, a conversion to black and white and a tweak on the clarity. I have grown more fond of the Olympus than I ever was of the Canon. Audible gasp.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
I love that sky and those waves along the horizon - I hovered over the fav - not sure I ever want to relive the sand story - and may I add - that's what happens when you challenge the elements
This is so beautiful. I wonder if I should by an Olympus...but I0m afraid it's the photographer that counts most. I have question. Is there ever a nice weather where you live?
HahahahHah.
Amazing clouds.
I did gasp, I'm a Canon user and I'm looking to upgrade it since it is an entry level one. I'm curious Why are u lking the Olympus much more?
You certainly suffer for the cause of a good photograph, but a good one you got. I'm amazed at how little processing you require to get such - all that contrast already in the scene? It is a beauty.
Awesome. I went down to Waiwakaiho River mouth on the same day and almost got blown off my rock. I love what you have captured here. I didn't venture onto the sand. Would have been sandblasted for sure!
@4rky Good lord no - there's things in the water you know... @joysabin I didn't think it was that funny... @dkbarnett I came away well etched... @golftragic Thank you kindly, it does soon to be my "thing" @hrs Thanks - it's not that bad, now I'm smooth ;) @Dawn Thank you very much :) @domenicododaro Thank you kindly :) @hiro Thank you very much :) @pistache Thanks very much :) @yaorenliu Thank you so much :) @30pics4jackiesdiamond Didn't do that either... @bill_fe Enjoy those mental images ;) @radiogirl Thank you very much :) @byrdlip Next time I shall wear a lead lined bikini... @helenhall It was a fairly gloomy day... @adi314 I had an entry level Canon, I've always fancied Olympus though - for the money you get a lot more, it's smaller and light and, to me anyway, the interface seems a lot more intuitive. And I think the results are better than what I was forcing out of the Canon. @juliedduncan Thank you very much - I like to stun @hermann Thank you kindly, not at all what I was aiming for but I'll take it and run @fbailey Thank you kindly, I do try @pusspup Thanks very much :) @joannakate Thank you very much - if only I could get rid of all this sand... @joansmor I shielded it from the worst of it and hope for the best... @caterina There is nice weather here and quite often...but on those days I tend to stay indoors... @rjb71 Thank you kindly - there wasn't much light around that day... @vignouse Thank you kindly. Again. @brigette I fear it was as well....what to do, what to do... @annied I should know by now...
Love the shot!
