it really is a great hall

This is the Great Hall in Winchester. They would have us believe that the large round table mounted on the wall is the actual round table of Arthurian legend.
Looks like a dart board. Bullseye!!

Of course it's the real thing. ;)

Did you have a go at pulling the sword out of the stone? Or am I getting my legends mixed up?

DHG
That is crazy cool!
October 18th, 2018
Had to look twice to see how the columns were supported. But that is my eye sight getting old.
October 18th, 2018
I thought the same as Amanda. a giant darts board
October 18th, 2018
Very cool , There is a fab replic in the Camelot Castle Tintagel and Chairs
October 18th, 2018
There are so many gullible folks. It is a great shot of what is fun to believe.
October 18th, 2018
Ratzzz, for a minute or two I thought it was a darts-board I'd like to use. Pretty impressive nevertheless. Well up to standard, mate.
October 18th, 2018
@golftragic Thank you kindly - I'd hate to see the size of the darts!
@joysabin Thank you very much...you mean it's not real???
@Dawn We're heading to Cornwall today for about 4 days and Tintagel is on the list!
@yorkshirekiwi I guess the knights had to do something in their downtime ;)
@byrdlip You should see me trying to focus ;)
@dhg Thank you very much :)
@jack4john Same legend but there was no sword to be seen...I think someone must of git there before me damn it all!
@humphreyhippo Thank goodness! I had my doubts...
@alophoto It does...even Arthur needed a hobby...
October 18th, 2018
Nice!! Enjoy Cornwall, make sure to eat your scones and cream correctly, and not like the Devon people do!!
October 18th, 2018

Maybe ask the Orange One? He seems to have a different measurement scale?
October 18th, 2018
Surely not.....it is at King Arthur's Hall in Tintagel isn't it ???
October 18th, 2018
very cool, at first glance I assumed it was stained glass
October 18th, 2018
This shot has a dramatic effect! I also had to look twice the columns as @byrdlip did it :)
October 18th, 2018
Liking this mate :-)
October 18th, 2018
Nice processing and building!
October 18th, 2018
We have one just like it in Tintagel. :)
October 18th, 2018
fantastic space, indeed
October 18th, 2018
@blueberry1222 Yes indeed :)
@swillinbillyflynn Good lord, it must be a replica ;)
@lyndamcg Thanks very much :)
@paul10 Thank you kindly :)
@fjanos Thanks very much :)
@adi314 I can see that... ;)
@cutekitty I think one of them might be a replica ;)
@golftragic I dread to think what he'll be measuring with.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond It should be quite safe - I don't like scones...
October 18th, 2018
From what I read/hear he has a rather inflated personal notion of scale. I'm waggling my pinkie!
October 19th, 2018
Arthurian legend - is that the one with the Holy Gayle? Is that her under the dartboard?
October 19th, 2018
@4rky I think it might be, although from what she said when I walked by she ain't that holy.
October 19th, 2018
Lee
I'm lead to believe that father Christmas helped to hang it there on one of his 364 days off. This shot looks like one of those urbanex type shots. I like it.
October 19th, 2018
@gamelee It's the only way that they'd get it on the wall...
October 19th, 2018
Impressive! I like the colors in this!
October 19th, 2018
@juliedduncan Thank ya ma'am :)
October 20th, 2018
