the long view

Firstly, the horizon is straight...but it's still doing my head in because it bloody well doesn't look it.
Secondly, way way way way way way way off in the distance, but almost in the centre of this shot, you can see Paritutu, which is the monolithic rock that can be seen in my other beach shots, from "my" beach.
This is not my beach. It has more rocks and less sand, but it is just as rich in the drama that I quite like. Happy days.
This beach is called Waiwhakaiho Beach and under no circumstances should you attempt to say that while sober.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is better on black.
