Cape Reinga

We're back!
We've been right to the very top of Aotearoa New Zealand and had no internet access or mobile coverage for most of it...it's been wonderful. This is the Cape Reinga lighthouse, where you can go no further north unless you are a spirit travelling on to the afterlife.

Nice in b&w - sounds idyllic with no WiFi, although there are occasions when you curse like when you need to upload to 365! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sounds lovely and what a great shot. It has however made me reminisce of @swillinbillyflynn emergency light houses! I've been here too long :) fav

So that's what it looks like! We got close but ended up not being able to go all the way as we had to backtrack since my husband set down his backpack with all important things in it at a gas station and we had to go back for it. Sigh. Your presentation is beautifully dramatic.

@jyokota That is what it looks like....you're lucky the backpack was still there!

@graemestevens -- indeed! computer, passports, all kinds of things we needed. So we returned to our path, unfortunately bypassing the giant tree, and drove in the pitch dark along a country road to get to a secret surprise of a place where I saw the Milky Way clearly, and ended our week in NZ meeting up with Julia and Dianne: http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2016-10-03
