the mysterious case of the missing toupee

There once was a follicly challenged man,
Who went by the name of Big Stan,
When out he never felt like a mug,
Mostly because of his brand new rug,
But one winter's night out in town,
He dropped a fiver and bent right down,
Just as a gust of wind from the north
Blew that rug right clean orf, (pushing it a bit there I know)
For months he searched and looked,
And some said on that rug he was quite hooked,
Every stranger he passed he would beseech
Until one day he ended up at the beach...

I don't know what's wrong in my head...
The beach looks so barren and bare of plant life that it’s almost a shock to see that one clump. I wonder how far it has travelled before ending up here.

What a super POV. Your caption and comments made me laugh! Looks like a fancy lobster or crab to me. Super.

Fun find

Just fabulous. Have you already written the music? I would suggest a classic folk-rock chord progression and rhythm... and have a fav!

LOL- good one - maybe a Elton John toupee :)

Lol, great poem to go with that clump. Great capture and tones in the image

Thanks for a much-needed guffaw this morning, Graeme! :)

You are so talented Graeme, maybe there is a genius lurking in your head!
You know what they say “There is only a hair’s breadth between genius and madness “

@denful I think I know which side of that hair I'm sitting on...
@juliedduncan Pleased to have been of assistance ;)
@swchappell Thanks very much :)
@pdulis The last thing I need is Elton on my beach...
@myzsteriousmizsterjones I think quite a lot is broked...
@domenicododaro I haven't yet...probably won't get 'round to it either...I might be missing out on millions, especially with my delicate singing voice...
@jacqbb Thanks very much :)
@kjarn You're welcome ;)
@annied Yes indeed, or words to that effect...
@30pics4jackiesdiamond I don't know that I'd go so far as to say "poetry" ;)
@jamibann Thank you kindly :)
@koalagardens Thank you kindly :)
@jgpittenger I'm so sorry ;)
@gardencat It travelled about 50 metres when I picked it up in the car park and took it to the water ;)
January 15th, 2022
@graemestevens LOL well. That explains it.
January 15th, 2022
follicly challenged, yes. But no rug, more a carpet
January 15th, 2022
With a punk rug like that, I'd think he would just grin at cha and make you wonder why...
January 15th, 2022
Reminds me of Vogon poetry…! Great shot as always!
January 15th, 2022
@rjb71 Yeah...it's pretty bad. Possibly the worst. ;)
@joysabin I'd do the same...
@byrdlip Shag pile...
January 16th, 2022
Great pov and shot. This is a kind of fashionable women's hat, only the veil is lost somewhere.
January 16th, 2022
actually, it looks like something out of Men in Black
January 17th, 2022
@graemestevens yep, Avocado green, too. Previous owners cut one inch off the bottom of the front door so it would open.

Hope all is well away from the beaches.
January 17th, 2022
@byrdlip That's the only way to do it...
@northy Probably some bizarre hybrid...
@haskar Thanks very much - I think the veil is long gone, along with the woman...
January 18th, 2022
You're poet and you didn't even know it
January 21st, 2022
@sporenmaken I still don't think I really am... ;)
