Snowdrop

This is the only kind of snow we had this winter. I'm not really complaining!
Deb
Beautiful photo. I like the simpleness of it and the DOF. I really need to start using the Manual setting on my point and shoot for some more creative shots.

Is that the name of the flower? I've never seen one before. It's really quite beautiful:-)
February 5th, 2012
@peterdegraaff Thanks, Peter It means so much to mean that you like it!
February 5th, 2012
@jennwearing That is the name of the flower. They are a bulb plant and come up early in the spring. Maybe they come up before the snow is all gone, although we seldom have snow here, and that is how they got their name?

Yeah, we may not get any snow this winter. Wow. We usually get a little bit....it is almost spring now I think. Today was out of this world warm and clear. I loved it. I cannot wait to take photos in the spring! These flowers are lovely...did not know about the green spots on the petals...

@espyetta We had a nice day as well. I don't feel we ever really had winter unless it hits us later this month! I didn't notice the green dots on them last year either but I am sure they were there. I just see things differently this year!
February 6th, 2012
Oh this is really beautiful! Nothing is growing by us, if I want flowers I have to take indoor shots.
