Vindication by grammyn

Vindication

So..last year I took some good-natured criticism for showing toads on a tomato and tagging them "frogmato" even though toads ARE frogs. This is an attempt at vindication from all those critics.

When I cleaned out the pool skimmer today here were several amphibians in it and I needed a subject for today.
http://365project.org/grammyn/themes-and-comp/2012-10-03 is the other shot!

@peterdegraaff LOL!
@jayberg I love Yogi!
@ozziehoffy Thanks again!
@onie Hang in there It will happen. This summer when I was taking a hiatus I found tons of baby frogs that would fit on a cherry tomato and took a shot or two then which may make it into one of these albums as a filler someday.

cute lil guy.....i wouldn't have guessed it was a tomato, though!...it seems like a huge red ball from the perspective lol. nice shot!

Cool shot of this frog on a tomato. Yes indeed, deja vu. Love it, Katy. Amazing you are still getting frogs. I guess they live in your yard most of or all year round. We got one tiny little guy that I could not get a clear photo of nor did it want to sit still for any reason once it was rescued from our pool.

@grammyn - What a cute little froggy! He is lovely!
October 4th, 2012
@darsphotos LOL! thanks , Darlene. For some reason I can get them to sit still if I hold them for a second or two and then place them. Maybe I have just been lucky!

@bobfoto Thanks very much ,Jason. You ,of course are the inspiration for all of this!

How did I miss this little gem??? LOVE it!!! Excellent focus and colours are great. This is one shot I will not be doing a) no frogs around b) I don't like 'em that much!!!!!

@grammyn My husband got the one frog this year out of our pool and placed it on some rock to dry out and it did not want to sit still. It hopped and was a very tiny thing. Since we have been hearing a lot of croaking from the neighbors yard, he put it in between the slats and it hopped out of his hand never to return. I took a couple of photos as it clung to the side of our pool and was on the rock but so blurry. You are great at capturing shots of your frogs. Wish I could do the same.

@ruthmouch LOL! Thank you so much!! It IS essential to have some type of amphibian for a shot like this so even if you could get over your aversion the lack of subject makes me think I won't be seeing this shot in your album ever.1 ;~}

@darsphotos It is so very kind of you to say,Darlene! I don' capture ducks or squirrels nearly as well as you do !
October 5th, 2012
Very nice... you must be the "Frog Whisperer!"

@marilyn LOL! thanks!

@grammyn You are so sweet, Katy. I see a lot of ducks and squirrels and take a lot of photos every week of the ducks and squirrels. They are a fun subject to take photos of.
