Sincere apologies to @bobfoto who started the "Frogmato" frenzy and has now upped the bar to "Grassish" (grasshopper on radish). I had a 'hopper but not the radish when I took this shot! If it is difficult to distinguish the frog it is because it is still in egg form but it IS on top of the tomato! Actually there are several of them there.
OMG, Katy you are becoming more creative by the minute. At first, I thought they were tomato seeds... LOL Very funny... I wonder what Bob is going to say about it.
It's the prequel! I laughed SO heard when I saw this! Instant FAV for the super creativity! And how did you get frog eggs? I know you have a lot of frogs and was even reviewing all the frogmato shots once Tara did hers... To find that one you did of mating frogs. I had forgotten that! Your frogmato shots take the cake!
Leonie and Peter.... @onie@peterdegraaf check out this frogmato! We could maybe get a whole life cycle of frog/toad on food collage on a shirt if some can get a tadpotato shot! Haha I never see tadpoles.or I would do it! I will check the pond at the university this weekend!
@deburahiru@espyetta - You are both correct... I can't believe Katy touched the eggs (harmful) and yes MB you have to tag it in the thread still, not in the initial post. Still a fave by the way.
@bobfoto harmful? To the eggs? When we raised frogs in our classroom with this kit the school system gave us, we had a card for the eggs to send in the mail. The directions when they came were to pull out the clomp and use scissors to cut them into sections of 2 to 3 and put in individual cups for the students for better observation. We were afraid to do it but we did. And they all lived fine.
@bobfoto I looked it up...you meant harmful to people I think. It said that they have secretions on them that are harmful so wash hands after touching. I am really hoping that that hand washing was just something Katy thought was a good idea anyway! Hahahahahaha
@espyetta - I learnt something new today. I would be so afraid to mess up the whole cycle of life thing by touching the eggs. Didn't realise they were so robust!
Sexmato! hahaha! Good one , Peter! and Yes, Jason, this was years ago when we had that type of Science program as our "textbook" (we did not really even have a book..it was great..we raised creatures and plants in the room, experimented with gears and gear ratio, did experiments...this was 2nd grade. WE loved that program. Now we have the "read the textbook, learn about Science" program. But we can supplement with "hands on" things if we want....And I want! haha Anyway, my first year teaching school, I was 22 years old, and my friend was 23. Were were shocked it said take scissors to the gelatinous goo. We were like "what if we cut the eggs?" and trying to be careful. THEN we learned you cannot...you cut and the gelatin ball is super protective. And now I learn, from googling, that they often even have defensive stuff on them to protect them chemically. I learn something new every day! Literally!
@espyetta - WOWEE! Thanks Ms Dailey. I am impressed. Hey when I did science we had a rifle in class so we could experiment with the velocity of a bullet.
@tara11@megmills@deburahiru@ozziehoffy@peterdegraaff@onie_m@stimuloog@sunshinephoto5 thanks all for the fabulously fun comments! of course I washed my hands. I am wondering about Sexmato Peter. i guess someone will have to explain that to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to entertain you all with my picture of the day Thanks so much for all the fun feedback! ;~}
@bobfoto Ha! Yes. That would be a stretch now. Life has surely changed. I was telling my son that we did archery in PE...and then realized no way was that going to happen in school now. They think it is too dangerous.
@espyetta - Yes same here. We also learnt how to blow things up with two household items which I won't mention here for fear of those guys who are sitting outside my house with the dark sunglasses on.
Ha ha, great shot. I did as you suggested adding my snails to the frogmato making in "snamato", so I broke with tradition there, ooops! This is such fun, thanks for sharing the joy!
I am seriously laughing and crying all at once. Too funny all the way through. I thought those were seeds also until I read, frog eggs and thought Katy has gone over the edge now and how the &^%& did she get them up there and are they going to die now. All questions answered now and had a really good laugh and have always loved your frog/tomato shots. Maybe we will get to see these little ones along with your cardinal in the tree. Fav for me
@espyetta, I'm pretty sure Katy has an idea where to get some tadpoles.....
Katy, congrats on the PP... well deserved! Your imagination and sense of humor brighten my day!
@pasadenarose I am so happy you are entertained by my bit of nonsense! Not sure the craze is sweeping the nation ............maybe the world since it was started by Jason in Papua New Guinea!

Not sure. But I thought someone told me tagging from the write up does not work?
@bobfoto oops! That was supposed to say CLUMP.

Thanks for the heads up MB. I started a new project, @onie_m now.
Re: "literally"... did you see the "literallly" pic that Jason shared on FB and I did also cos it was so funny!
@grammyn No, thank YOU for your funny and surprising shot! :0)
@bobfoto Now experimenting with velocity of bullets was way above my pay grade. They must do that in High school! :0)
Katy, congrats on the PP... well deserved! Your imagination and sense of humor brighten my day!
I love your take on the frogmato craze that is sweeping the nation. I only knew what they were because I'd already seen your other frog egg shot.
