I hadn't intended for this to be my main photo for the day but after spending the day with a granddaughter getting her registered for college I found I had no ambition to find another picture. These are marble mazes that I made for my teacher daughter. She uses them for students that need to keep their hands busy while she is teaching a lesson. I sewed them between two pieces of fabric on my embroidery machine, placed a marble in the middle and then serged them shut so the marble remains inside them. I was thinking of Chris @cjphoto when I made them because of all his marble photos.

You are the master of sewing! I can see the smart angles here! Good to be part of your granddaughter's going to college! A major necessity in their life!
what does it do then, just tinker with the marble until the fabric gives out and rips and you get the marble? that could lose one's marble rather easily, non? :-O
what a strange and wonderful idea. I would definitely have played with such a thing as a child. I remember ripping up paper and twisting it and that sort of thing.
That's a terrific idea! I like that better than the fidgets all the kids have! I had to stop by to thank you for the very kind words you left on Vicki's site; "friendship", indeed!
@summerfield LOL! You are a mess girlfriend. The marble stays inside the two layers of fabric always. There is an opening at both ends that lets it out into the margin but the object is jst to move it from one end of the maze to the other. It is intended to keep hands and minds occupied especially for children that have a difficult time sitting still in class
@espyetta@summerfield apparently it is especially helpful to children with autism. Somehow it helps them focus better. I appreciate your kind words Marybeth
