Recovery Mode

My granddaughter came for a visit today and we went outside to take some pictures of her. When she saw this little lizard, which we thought was a snake at first, clinging to a leaf in the pool we forgot all about taking her picture. Instead, we rescued the lizard.
A cool rescue and image

I guess he didn't get the "stay away from the human pond" memo from the little froggie you saved!

@Dawn @alophoto @darylo @365karly1 @linnypinny @marilyn @eudora @tunia Thank you so much fo ryou coments about what I think is a baby skink. His legs were tucked in close to his body when we first saw him which is why we thought he was a snake. His hind legs at right angles to his body in the photo are a little difficult to recognize too

@cjphoto LOL! Funny story, I used to help raise snakes with a friend and when we would ship them we had to lie because you weren't supposed to ship snakes. You could ship lizards however, so one time I think we labeled our snakes legless lizards!

@grammyn - Hahaha oh wow, that was a clever idea!!! Now I won't be able to look at a snake without thinking "legless lizards" :P
