Christmas Cards

A tradition that is disappearing in part to the electronic age and social media.

As you know, my very favorite holiday tradition! A lovely capture! I hope to get a shot of mine, too, if the computer and camera will work together for a change!

Every year I debate sending them out. I have trimmed many names from our list but I do still enjoy sending and receiving them. I understand postage is going up again though!

I used to love receiving and sending them too. Unfortunately our post office is dysfunctional here, so I had to give it up.

We still send cards and get several, but sadly you're right about this tradition disappearing. Lovely way to display yours.

@linnypinny It was so nice to get a card from you and it is up there somewhere. I meant to send you one but couldn't remember if I did or not so did not send what might have been a second one. At any rate I am getting old and couldn't remember. If I failed to send it forgive me. Next year I promise!

@olivetreeann I get that but I don't send so many that it costsTHAT much and it is a nice way to keep in touch with people that I only see rarely

the few Christmas cards i receive i save for future; i'm sure one of these days, someone will ask me if i have old cards that they can have to use with whatever it is they them for. the ones at the office as well, i save them. what i don't like are those electronic cards where i have to open an account just to view it. so if anyone sends me an electronic card, i can't thank them because i don't know who sent it and i won't open an account on a website just to see who sent it. i'd much rather receive an email saying, "hey bitch, merry Christmas." :-D

I’m totally with you on the electronic thing! And I used to save all my cards but have recently started throwing some of them away to save my children the hassle of having to do it someday !!
