Typically, I don't like to bake in the summertime because of, well, you know, HEAT! However a severe storm blew through this afternoon and it seemed to set the perfect ambiance for some cookie making. Applesauce drop cookies (ingredients shown here) and orange drop cookies (without the frosting) are safely ensconsed in the freezer to be enjoyed on many future dates. Well, the ones that I haven't already eaten anyway!
I’d better stop looking at this and get to bed — otherwise I’ll succumb to the temptation to head to the kitchen for whatever will satisfy cookie cravings.
Oh boy- now I have a hankering for chocolate chip cookies! Thankfully it's just too hot to bake them even in the early AM when you can sometimes get away with lighting the oven up here! Yours sound yummy!

It is usually too hot here too. Putting them in the freezer slows the consumption process whic is great because they are tasty! @tunia I got mine in 1967 as a wedding gift!
