Nov.18 Thankful For...

... Hickory nuts. Part of God's plan to feed the many squirrels in my yard which are a constant source of entertainment and photo ops
Super capture! I like your composition.

Now there’s a thought! Instead of spending all that money on sunflower seeds etc etc we could plant a hickory tree. I wonder how long it would take it to mature? Oh, yeah, that’s right... Frank is driving us to the poor house to feed the birds; the squirrels are just a side act. I guess I don’t want to plant a hickory tree. But I’m thankful you have one. Post all your squirrel pictures so we all can share the entertainment.

that one nut is hanging precariously; is there maybe a squirrel right underneath with its mouth open? 😂

I hope there are more where we can't see, otherwise you're going to have to feed the squirrels to keep being entertained.

@mcsiegle thanks Mary It would take a long time to grow I am certain but I will try to get some squirrel photos for you so you don't have to plant a tree!

@summerfield LOL no there was not but there was one directly above me dropping shells on me as I took this!
@cjphoto I know it looks that way but there are still lots in the trees. See my not to her above and thanks Chris
@randystreat LOL! Fortunately there are still plenty in the trees and once I start feeding the birds they will pilfer some of that too!
@olivetreeann Truthfully I have no idea why it looks like there is only one left on the tree, there are bunches amongst the leaves still! Thank you!
