Relying on my favorite Welsh lady for the accuracy of the title, Happy St. David's Day. A few of my daffodils that are blooming in my yard right now. Someone mentioned the other day they thought daffodils were only yellow. Here you can see the cups are edged in orange.
daffs are pretty but lord they smell like cat pee! i like how you juxtaposed the soft petals with the hardness of the lattice. made for a great composition. aces!
How gay (in the traditional sense) the flowers look against the latticework. I've always liked to see the different types of daffodils. My mother had a lot.
Love this shot with the background fence. I have seen daffodils with different amounts of orange and red, but all the daffodils in our yard are yellow. I am going to have to find some of these other daffodils. They are all so cheerful popping up at this time of year.
@larrysphotos me too and there are so many different varieties Thank Larry @linnypinny Thank Lin So looking forward to see yours! @summerfield Seriously?! they smell like Spring to me! When we lived near Seattle we could buy them by the bunch for nest to nothing and the smell still takes me back to that place and time. I am glad you like my juxtaposition! @darylo I should probably do that too. i have several bunches around the yard @lesip It doesn't take very many nice days for them to pop out. It will happen soon enough for you too @sunnygirl thank you so much Mallory and thanks for the follow too! @randystreat LOL! thanks Kathy!
