And yet today found me taking a photograph of the Welsh cakes I was making. Full disclosure they are fried, not baked but we will be celebrating St. David's Day tomorrow when we play Pass the Pigs so I needed to make some today in preparation! Truth be told,Mary @mcsiegle made some for me and mailed them to me just in case I didn't get mine made. Hers are much better than mine. Taking a picture while my hands were covered with flour and dough affirms I am not a photographer either. Several of my friends do amazing food shots and I am not deluding myself into believing this is in anyway competitive with theirs. Check out @darylo to see what I am talking about. So I thank you for taking the time to look at my pitiful offering for the day and l am grateful for any comments you make!♥
A fun cooking/baking capture! And just FYI, yesterday my mom told me my sister had ordered this game she'd heard of - Pass the Pigs! I couldn't believe it - I'd never mentioned it to either of them. So hopefully the weather will be nice enough to be outside soon and I can visit and play. I'll be sure to take a photo ♥
Katy, I think this looks great. You have enough of the utensils to show you are making it. I'm quite sure I got flour and maybe dough on my camera this morning. It has the golden tones signifying it has butter in it. Had a blast eating Welsh cakes and sharing stories this morning. @summerfield We took a vote this morning and decided you needed to "take a meeting", a coffee break or an early lunch break on Thursdays and join us as we meet, even if you don't have pigs.
@summerfield we talked about you playing with us! Maybe next time? @olivetreeann LoL! that is very kind of you to say! @lynnz I am so glad you liked it Thanks Lynn @shutterbug49 They tasted good but not as good as Mary's! First time making them so I am OK with that @darylo Thank you Daryl the glasses chain was a gift when I visited my friend in Lebanon. The cookie cutter was my mother's or grandmother's and I was glad to have a reason to use it! I almost never make cut out cookies @ludwigsdiana Thank you Diana we had a great time passing the pigs and eating out Welsh cakes. I had never heard ot them before either and would gladly send you some but feel they wouldn't make the trip and still be edible! @madamelucy Thank you so much Terri! they turned out better than I expected @30pics4jackiesdiamond LOL! you are too kind Jackie and I appreciate that generosity! @mcsiegle I used to be a dough eater until I heard so often how raw eggs are dangerous. Thank you Mary, the cookie cutter was my mother's or grandmother's @louannwarren That is really so very nice of you Lou Ann. Your kindness means a lot to me! @dutchothotmailcom That was such a nice thing for you to say Esther! I really appreciate it! @linnypinny Thank you Lin and how exciting for you! I can't wait to see your photo of it! It is great fun! @kwiksilver peer group pressure always seems to work on me! Thank you Gillian and they did taste OK Even the grand chap liked them! @randystreat Thank you so much Kathy. Good to know I am not the only one. It was too much fun and next week will be too! Can't wait. @jacqbb They were OK and if I make them again I know how to improve them just like our artstygang lessons! Thank you Jacqueline @serendypyty They did turn out better than I expected and I now know how to make them even better! Thanks Cazzi @geertje Thanks Geertje. Thye weren't bad at all and we did have lots of fun. I would love to send you some but feel they wouldn't make the trip and still taste good!
