Feeding Time by grammyn

Feeding Time

Entertained by the birds at the feeders today. They must have felt it getting colder throughout the day as there was lots of activity. I think this might be a robin but it is unusual to see them at this time of the year.
there are robins around here, most birds they don't leave anymore, i don't think, as they get fed here by the ignoramus humans who think they're being kind to the birds not thinking that they are interfering with the natural flow of things. we both posted birds today, girlfriend. aces!

A very clear and in focus shot of this bird. It reminds me of a Towhee. Here I usually see both robins and towhees on the ground scratching in the leaves.

@summerfield I feed our birds during the winter time but I don’t feed them in the summer. I think it would be different in the city. I think your bird that you posted was a much more magnificent one than mine
@milaniet i’m so glad you like it Milanie thank you
@marilyn you are so very very generous with your praise. Thank you so much Sissy.
@shutterbug49 thank you Debbie. I just got lucky with the DOF

@eudora thank you Diane I thought so too.
@monikozi thank you
@kjarn i’m glad you like it Kathy thanks
@joansmor so nice of you to say Joan
@wakelys thank you Sue. I have to put enough there for a lot of birds.
@myhrhelper turn it means a lot to me that you like it that much Kathy. Thanks apparently it is not a Robin but a Towhee
@30pics4jackiesdiamond thanks Jackie I was a little surprised by his markings myself.
@tunia I thought so too Tunia thank you
@randystreat after checking it out I think you are absolutely right. I didn’t think he looked like a Robin but I couldn’t figure out what else it might be thank you for that information.
@serendypyty I’m so glad you like it Carole thank you
@linnypinny are usually get quite a few different kinds but this was when I couldn’t recognize for sure someone told me it’s a towhee
@madamelucy thank you Terri are usually put quite a bit of food out in the morning in the birds eat on it all day.
@farmreporter some of that puffiness is because it was cold I think. thanks Wendy

@darylo How sweet of you and I think you are right. The first time I ever saw one I think I was with you but I don't see them often enough to remember them
