Clever half and half - colors blend and the halves contrast.

Love how you did this half&half. Love the contrasting brown and yellow to accentuate the halves.

So many contrasts! Plain and decorated. Focus and out of focus. Dark background and light. Straight lines and soft “lines.” Well done.

very right brain thinking. i like it. aces!

Nice half and half. Intriguing the way the portraits of ancestors are out of focus, but still present, like the past.

A fun way to look into the past. A bit of a mystery as to what is there.

As others have said, the shallow depth of field work so well here. Normally one might expect the half of the picture with objects in it to be the part in focus, but the visual reinforcing the title is perfect.

What a great shot, I ditto all the above.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond @wakelys @taffy @olivetreeann @randystreat @lesip @dutchothotmailcom @kjarn @louannwarren @thewatersphotos @shutterbug49 @marilyn @summerfield @eudora @madamelucy @mcsiegle @ludwigsdiana @jacqbb @serendypyty @tunia @corinnec Many of you gave me way too much credit for this shot. It was a total HA (happy accident) I did not intentionally focus on the wall in the foreground and was very happily surprised to see that my lack of attention and skill created such an interesting result. I am beyond thrilled that you think I have this much talent! Many of you read something into it that I had not intended and I praise you for the insight. You are all the best in my book!

@grammyn I missed the trunk. 🤦

@marilyn Understandable. The pictures on the wall really were more important
