My husband gave me these colored pencils for Christmas and I have just now ventured into using them because l can't draw. They work like watercolors though so I decided to experiment with them today. I love them for the fine detail they give me and I am finding that I would rather do art than cook, clean or do laundry and maybe even photography!
Love this photo, but love the drawing even more! That ostrich is spot on. You have finally realized you are an artist… and are maybe getting ready to give yourself the freedom to follow your passion and let those around you who have been depending on your giving gene find their own passions instead of leaning on yours.
Sounds like your Hubby knows your artistic interest and is helping you develop it. Photography and painting/drawing can go hand in hand like they do here. Nicely done.

This is outstanding. There's something about the density and multitude of lines and colours that make this so dynamic and pleasant to look at! DO some more!
Cooking, cleaning, doing laundry are overrated. I’ll have to think about photography. For a first foray into the use of these pencils, you have done an outstanding job!

I said that you have realized you are an artist because you said you are finding you would rather create than do your other stuff… though photography is also art.
