Ok, finally decided to brave it all and try a self-portrait...oh dear! How do you do it? How do you get good focus on your own eyes when you're not actually where you are going to be????Help!
I love the way you have put these together. Well done on the selfie front - not all that painful? - and lovely to see you and your wonderful smile. I cant help advise - I'm sure I will be having the same problem when I eventually get around to looking at the camera.
@yrhenwr Hey David, had to do all 8 on the self portrait collage and not one was decent enough to stand on it's own...this way they distract from one another. I have to figure out how to get better focus! Thanks for commenting so positively.
@cjphoto ah, gee, thanks Chris for the comment on the self-portrait shots...it was fun as well as funny, running around to sit myself down...I had set a lamp on a box on the chair that I thought would be my height for focus and had to get rid of it before I sat...didn't work that well anyhow!
I find it very intriguing with all of the different crops ,tilts, tones and poses. It makes you look around to build up a complete picture. And, of course, it's nice to meet you in photos bigger than the profile one. :)
@robz Thanks for commenting on these self-protrait attempts..by the way, totally sooc...looks cropped only because I hadn't figured out how to aim the camera to where I'd actually be. Biggest challenge...how to get eyes in focus. So I've since read that there are apps to use on one's phone to control the camera...way beyond my technical abilities at the moment. There are some more old-fashioned ways that I will check out also...I'm sure you'll see the results eventually....
