Chair - low key

Following, or attempting to, the Flash of Red 2018 challange...low key or high key shots from Feb 1 through 4th.
Window light muted by blinds mostly closed; late afternoon.

Intent is to make an ordinary folding chair evocative of mood; also to work on low-key/high-key with natural light.
I like this one very much and the way it sings on black. fav

@ethelperry Thanks, Ethel ..I seem to have a much better feel and eye for low key than high...I'm glad you liked this.

You are so good at these things - such a small amount of light but all being used so well. I love how much contrast you have managed to get on the chair.

I like the low key loo here rather than the high key look. Mysterious and awaiting a story!

Like both, but love this more!!!

Works very well, nice balance to the picture.

Works for me! I sense a waiting and anticipatory mood rather than a forlorn one. Perhaps it’s because the chair is facing the shafts of light. Very nicely done!

Good low key shot.. like the light on the edges. Would prefer to do without the slash of light in the backdrop. Maybe need to adjust the blinds to get or otherwise get more directional light.

@yrhenwr I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in these coments, and that you give me so much to think about...I will see if I can set this up again, without the light...hmm, I was thinking it worked a s a frame but will have to check out the scene without it....
