These wetlands are usually quite dry. Actually, before today, I've only seen this as a field. But the recent floods have truly made the concept of wetlands very vivid.
Proper wetlands and a splendid b&w short. Love t he light reflecting off the water. Not sure about the halos along the tree tops and I'm wondering how they came about. Did this shot need a lot of processing? BTW I didn't stay away long did I? 2 days was quite enough! Deleting the entire web page was a brutal thing to do to myself. All those pics no longer there.. ! Now I'm glad they have gone... 7 years of photos like a dead weight and hindering progress

@lostphojo I've just started learning Photoshop, or rather some quick and dirty photoshop hacks... the halo was from not very carefully using the "history" brush to get some detail back after tweaking the contrast on the entire image.
And glad you decided to clean house and stay....(and I don't do a lot of yellow anyway!)
