Great time at the local baseball field watching the minor leagues play. But I definitely need to figure out how to get more contrast in these situations. Any tips appreciated. Where should I meter for more contrast????
I like it. Great composition and players drawn to the fore. However, if the author does not like it, you have to combine!
The light meter measures gray. So in this case you should rather make a spot measurement of light, or brighten a little with this measurement (+ eV). We must also remember that in black and white photos the colors e.g. green and red are similarly gray. And that's the law of physics. I don't know the Sony menu but you can still search there. Some cameras have a color filter function for B&W photography or a second option for contrast enhancement. Filter fusion is particularly interesting. In Olympus I have yellow, orange, green and red. And it helps a lot when playing with contrast.
I am not an expert, nor is my English great. But I think at least I started some discussion.
And the picture you took is very cool. And I think this is a challenge sooc that we would encounter such problems.
@haskar Thank you so much for this comment on b&w shots and physics of color. I really appreciate the time you took to explain this and how helpful it is. And even in the days of film, photographers "dodged and burned"! Be well, and thanks again.
