Stepping Down (Pringle Park)

The staircase leading from street to park was half in shadow as I descended it. It's an early 19th century staircase that leads to a small park around the creek that flows to the river. I'm told Chinook salmon once spawned here.
The shadows make this so dramatic! Lovely capture.

This comes into its own on black - it shows up the subtle variations in the dark tones of the steps in shadow on the right. The light's picking out the textures really well too.
