Tulip - peeking by granagringa

Tulip - peeking

A new bunch of tulips...here we go again. This is my attempt at a home-made soft filter....a piece of gauze with a hole in the middle and placed tightly in front of the lens...It's not as soft as I had thought it would be, but it is a different way for me shoot the tulip and I think I need to continue experimenting with possible filters. Challenging to get a soft look with out just looking out of focus!

Any advise appreciated!!!
I am really enjoying your experiments with the tulips! This is quite pretty and gives a neat effect.

Film photographers used all sorts of things to produce diffusion and i applaud your use now.. try the gauze without the hole.. sheer black stockings/tights work well too..
i like the leaves in this shot, plenty of texture.. the petals have come up looking so soft and velvety..
loving this whole series.. well done for perseverance in your experiments.

@yrhenwr The vaseline comes out as soon as I find a cheap, used, UV filter to sacrifice...old school all the way! Glad youthink the gauze worked. Thanks, as always, for your comments and encouragement.
