First Methodist Church Fort Worth

Beautiful old church in downtown Fort Worth. It has so many beautiful windows. I started to crop and just upload the windows, but decided that I liked the entire building.
it is a magnificent building!!

@cscecil @buccigrossi Thanks! I did not even notice the sky, I just knew I liked this one better than just using the windows!

Lovely architecture. Are the towers really different heights? Or is one further away?

yes I agree with all the above. A lovely building - I like the cream peachy colour of the stone.

wow, that is a huge church. It's so different than the white clapboard New England churches. This is gorgeous.

agree with the others as well - and the asymmetrical towers give it an added interest =)

@deebug @happypat @bigsusan55 @janek @meeyauw @sitiodown Thank you for your comments. It is a rather large church. There is a street that runs between the church and the parking lot where I was taking the picture. The towers are different heights. This church was built in 1930 and the architect was Wiley G. Clarkson. Through the years, it has undergone additions to the original building.

This is a wonderful picture Linda! so clean and 'neat'. The lamp-post and the greenery brings a great dimension!

This is a lovely building and quite ornate for a Methodist church. The Methodist churches in England are much less grand.

Beautiful church...love to see great buildings in America. Have just returned from Paris where I think I saw every church in Central Paris...so lovely.

@kimmiesue @zero_rhetoric @busylady @supergrannie Thank you for the comments. This is one of the prettiest old churches in downtown Fort Worth.

Wonderful shot, technically very well handled, it is difficult sometimes in bright sunlight not to either burn out the highlights or have the shadow detail blacked out. You got this spot on.
