Summertime in Texas by grannysue

Summertime in Texas

This family looked like they were having fun. I liked the way the boy was casting his line out into the water. Some other people told me that these people were having luck catching fish. I decided to go with sepia for this instead of color.
Thanks to everyone for your comments on my previous photos and on any comments or suggestions on this one.

Lovely capture that really gives you the feeling of a sunny family day out. I think you were busted by Dad though :)

Great action shot. It would be interesting to see the original but it's good to experiment with different effects.

@richjane77 Thanks for the comment. Yes, busted by dad, but also by mom. ;) Mom had a hat on and was covering her face, but she definately had her head turned in my direction. I have to learn to not get caught!

Beautiful picture. I can hear "summer" all over it. The wind, the rush of the river, the laughter - unlike Toronto's weather of late. Great choice to do sepia. Made me reminisce about my childhood summers!
