Beat viewed large. What an afternoon it was! Finally got some shots of a Great Blue Heron at the city duck pond. The Great White Egret was there and I was "casting bread upon the water" to help the Egret catch fish and for the ducks. The Great Blue Heron does not like the Great White Egret and kept chasing him off.

Love it! A fav. I've gotten a few of this bird recently (this type) and they were no where as amazing as this. Love that it's in mid flight and so clear!
We too have them at the lake. I have tried to get good shots, to no avail!! This photo inspires me. I seem to not have the proper lens on or something. Going to try again.. I will post some of my swan photos, please let me know what you think..
@adifferenteye I usd my 55-250mm lens, set my camera on the sports (action setting), got the focus on the bird and as he took off, kept following him holding the button down and this is my favorite shot of the ones I got.. When I first got my camera I tried to take a photo of a Heron but it was not focused well.
