A lot'a bull and his mini me

Best viewed large.
Saw this big old bull in a pasture with a bunch of cows and calves. The young bull in front of him really looks related. I do not recall ever seeing a black bull or cow with red hair along his back ridge, but both these have it and the young ones back legs are reddish brown.
Thank you for viewing and commening, I appreciate it very much!
Whew! what a whopper! Hope you aren't in the same field! I think that's his son with him - got boy horns!

@kylec These were the first I have seen. It was definately different, strip seemed to me more of a deep reddish brown, but it does look orangish here. Maybe the sunlight is causing it.

I love your title and this photo, Linda. They are huge and very obviously related.

A great picture. I love their serious expresions. In Britain I've been told that when a bull it kept with his wives he isn't so agressive. I haven't put the theory to the test but perhaps these 2 are trying to impress the ladies not frighten us.

Thanks Linda for your much appreciated comments on my photos.

@janek Thank you, Jane. The smaller one is still a calf, not grown yet or the older one would probably not tolerate him around his harem. The large one did start towards me, then must have decided I was not going to harm them. Not sure the fence could hold him if he really wanted out.
