Just could not get close to this Heron. It took off when I got closer, flew downward on the other side of the tree. It has it's back to me. I liked how the sun was shining on it and the plants. I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but it is in the water or edge of the water. It does have something growing on it. There were some reeds between it and me.

I wonder why it's got a wiggle in it's throat? Perhaps it ate a large fish which got stuck! Interesting to see the stick-like legs balancing so well on the foliage!
@maggiemae@netkonnexion@yonnie That is probably a fish or some other aquatic creature in it's neck. I wonder how they don't just choke. You can watch the lumps slowly go down the neck. They swallow the fish head first, this keeps the fins from sticking them.
I am a week behind on posting and far behind on commenting. I came to your project and see you have not been here in quite a while. Are you ok? Are you coming back or taking a break. This is so time consuming and I have had to slow down and stop a few times so understand well. Take care, Linda.

A new doctor I am going to is trying something different and if that does not help he will try something else.
Beautiful capture! I love how the sun is bouncing off of him, too. They are SO hard to capture close up. I'm always telling them that I just want a picture! They don't listen! Haha!
