May 30th, 2013
Ha, ha. Now I have got that song in my head. Wonderful shot.
May 30th, 2013
Great shot and idea
May 30th, 2013
@m9f9l Well silly, the needle is on my side of the shoe of course. Back to betty-homemaker class with you! :p

May 30th, 2013
I really like this. Very creative and it sure brings back memories. I haven't used a sewing machine in a long time but I used to sew.
May 30th, 2013
I can't sew a bit, but I really like the focus on this one. You do have the most interesting photos.

May 30th, 2013
As the daughter of a professional seamstress who makes wedding gowns by hand -- and someone who can't sew on a button -- I applaud you!

Immediate Fav! Love everything, light, DOF, composition. You De Man, not sure about Montanathug as I'm sure the others Montanathugs would like their swings skills kept secret.

May 30th, 2013
Needless to say great selfie. How about a little investment in a pair of glasses?
May 30th, 2013
Splendid composition. How did you get it so that it's going perfectly at eye level?
May 30th, 2013
@bernadette Thanks Bernadette! I had the timer set on my camera and had already manually focused where I wanted it. Then, I just lined up the thread with my eye so I was looking straight at the lens on the other side of the thread. :)
May 30th, 2013
This is great for so many reasons...the different materials, textures..the shiny machine metal, the soft fuzzy thread, The focus! Did i say the focus? ! Haha And then the story behind the pic....I am thinking "what is he sewing?" "Does he really sew?" Anyway, the pic is seriously amazing! Congrats on the pp with it!
May 31st, 2013
Oh, and of course...fav
May 31st, 2013
@espyetta Haha, I had no idea this made PP, thanks! And I finished 3 projects; patched three holes in a favorite pair of jeans, removed an elastic hem around a vest jacket, and shortened a sweatshirt that was too long. :)
May 31st, 2013
My husband sews. In high school, he worked for a men's clothing store...did alterations. And his mom sews. Nice to have a man who can be handy with tools and the sewing machine!

June 2nd, 2013
really nice creative shot.....usually when i am trying to thread a needle (on a machine or otherwise), there is way too much cursing going on - to stop and take a photo.....lol - - i love all the texture you caught in the thread....and the eye behind it.
