*View of Columbia Mountain from my front yard. Composite of 372 30-second exposures stacked in StarStax, all-told a 2+ hour long exposure highlighting Earth's rotation under the stars!
love seeing the difference in brightness and even colour of the stars photographed this way. my camera can only d 15 sec exposure max, do you think it would still work If I tried it?
Very awesome...I really want to do star trails but a) it's too cold in winter and b) the sun sets too late in summer. Guess I just don't want it bad enough, right?
@kali66 I think 15 seconds would work just fine! You just have to figure out the exposure you'd need, then take a whole bunch of 15-second shots back-to-back and stack them in Starstax!
@grizzlysghost Glad to hear you weren't standing out there the whole time. I need a camera that I can set the timer for more than one shot...it's coming.
You must be sick of that view by now... No one can be subjected to that much beauty on a day-to-day basis and not be affected by it. Awesome star trails. Fav!
Amazing. Been looking through your galley, your photos are incredible! I may be moving to Montana next year, really getting excited to be up in the mountains.
