Sycamore Gap by handymaurice

Sycamore Gap

A trip today to Hadrian's Wall and a chance to photograph Sycamore Gap. The start of our walk was bright and sunny but mostly in rain and wind, and moving quickly to avoid an inquisitive bull (we and dogs had to climb at speed over a wall and barbed wire). Arriving at the tree there were many walkers all getting their shot and I had to wait as the good light and sky was fading fast to a dull grey. Luckily I took a quick shot as the last sunlight and walkers moved away

Iconic image, must go there someday. I personally think the walkers add to your image giving it a real sense of place.

Such a colourful shot. It's been on my list for a while, good to know about the bull.
