After being busy over the Bank Holiday It's ironing time !! A selfie this time but only the back of me !! I don't know what I would have done without this iron over the years I have done B&B. I can sit down , watch TV & do the sheets fairly quickly! This is our kitchen, you can just see the Aga on the left & a dog lying in front ! The work units, sink etc are behind me.
I have just finished doing my ironing, and thought I would sit down for a while before cooking our evening meal , and look at you I could do with one of these. btw love your kitchen
Your kitchen is lovely! I don't enjoy ironing but the end result gives me a feeling of satisfaction! That machine must indees be a godsend when doing bed and table linen!
The only bad thing about guests (generally speaking!) is changing beds. Definitely a good investment when you have a lot to do! Lovely country kitchen - I'd love an Aga for the dog to lie in front of!
warm and cosy! (a big plus to living in africa is lots of help in the house! we try to give everybody work so all the women are employed - not a lot of ironing for me - just on the weekends to get one set of boarding school kids clothes done!) lovely selfie!
@phil_howcroft I do use the blackboard lots Phil & at the moment it has some notes No.2 son wrote when he was over in February & I am loath to rub it out ! At the top there is a little sign my granddaughter wrote saying ' I(heart)Max & the bottom bit says 'ring Matt at BT Monday ' I always remember to do 365 !!!
@jquinn@sarah19@snowy@lilithcherry@judithg@grannysue@sinfulsam Thank you all for your lovely comments about my kitchen ! I must admit when we moved to this farm us woman more or less get the house they are given with the farm & I think I was very lucky !! The kitchen is my favourite room in the house & I love to sit in the armchair next to the Aga & read my book !
Just reading your comments Pat - I grew up in a farming community. Just after I was married, we moved to a city. One of the most amazing things to me, was that people checked out the houses - how big, how beautiful etc I was well used to farmers buying the land and as an afterthought, wandering through the house. You certainly landed a gorgeous home - this kitchen looks very cosy and well lived in. What a lovely photo.
@murnane You're exactly right Marg, if the land had been right I would have had to have put up with the house !! I have never viewed houses to buy like other folk but am not complaining it certainly focuses the mind !!
