Gateposts.

I have always admired the impressive gate posts belonging to this farmhouse near us. Today I stopped & took this photo even though the sun was in the wrong place & the photo could be better. I have given it a bit of HDR & this has improved the detail a little.

Interestingly I processed this with Picnic...it is still working !!!!
I LOVE those gateposts, Pat. How elegant they are and this is a beautiful pov! Am surprised about picnik still being on ... oh how I wish that they would stay. My life is so much easier with the "familiar!" lol

@karenann I agree Karen I cheered when I saw it ...am I the only one to think PicMonkey looks a little dreary ? Thank you for your regular comments !!!!

I'm impressed, Pat. I've never done HDR - should give it a try soon. Lovely farmhouse. I agree with you on PicMonkey - maybe they'll make it a bit better-looking at some point.

No, Pat ... I totally agree. I tried picmonkey once on one of my photos and didn't like it as well as picnik. Looks like we'll have no choice tho, my friend.

Those gate posts are nearly as tall as the house, very impressive!

I think we should get some of those - I'll have a word with Nigel! Maybe Picnik will stay but without the storage?

@meisen325 I only use the HDR on Picnic Monica , nothing challenging at all !! Some folk use the HDR option on their camera which I have done in the past but just as easy to do it as you are processing !! Have a go !! Not too keen on too much HDR but a little here just highlighted the photo !

I do like the HDR on this - gives it a nice crispness especially on the vertical iron bars of the gate and the bricks of the house.

oooh Pat you are doing a bit of HDR, I've resisted the HDR temptation (well I don't have any software to do it).......it works well here :)

They are wonderful gateposts!! Nice processing too. . .

@phil_howcroft Yes you could do it too Phil , it's only the HDR button on Picnic here but now PicMonkey .com. Just click on & put as much HDR on as you want. I did it here because it lightened a very dull photo & am really pleased with the result.
