Red brick wall. by happypat

Red brick wall.

I have been to have my hair cut this afternoon & this is the doctors house opposite....I really like this wall.
Snap or should that be snip, I had my hair cut today as well., the door sets the wall off.

That wall has age. Great colour. I wonder what is behind it.

@shepardx2 Yes I think the house must have been that colour once as you can see all the ones around it are.

What a wonderful pov, Pat! And such great color and texture with the wall. It does make one want to enter tho and take a peek inside at the garden (which I'm sure is lovely as well.) I see that your weather is back to blue skies and lovely clouds. Wonderful!!

Love the door...wonder why the gateposts have wall between them?or are they just decorative? Love the colour of the bricks.

Beautiful wall, especially the gateposts and the doorframe, which compliments the red bricks so well.

Proper red brick - we don't get proper bricks down here!!

who'd have thought Pat that just a plain brick wall can make such a lovely composition ....I love the red brick, very english, very lancashire too (i think)...glad to see you used letterboxing to showcase this beautiful wall

@summitnsmile @ruthmouch There is an opening to the right into the drive which you can see & then another gatepost to match the others but not sure why the wall is there between the other posts.

@judithg Our old farm hose was old brick & I always wanted a stone house. One year we went to Stoneleigh in Warickshire to the Royal Show, when I saw all the lovely brick house there I changed my mind about brick.

Lovely wall - but how do you like your haircut?
June 12th, 2012
It is a nice old wall , I would love to go through the doorway.

Love the red. Brick (well, actually the labor) is too expensive for wall-work here, so this is great to see. Thanks for sharing!

Nice take, do you think the part between the two cement posts was open back in the day of horse and carriages?
