I picked up this card on my recent trip to Ireland so it is sitting among the china on the dresser.
Completely stumped for ideas today.
I have had such a busy week with all the celebrations & it was sod's law I have been full up with B&b this week too.
Ironing every night & chatting to guests has worn me out & I have had hardly anytime to sit in my new chair!
Three good things.
1. Nobody in tonight so a nice evening in front of the TV watching Strictly Come Dancing.
2. The major electric problem we had when all the sockets kept fusing seems to be solved.
3. I went to pick the bread order up at the bakery just before they closed & bread was half price!
Its jolly exhausting isn't it? Just had a couple with 2 dogs and everytime I turned round he was behind me wanting to talk!!! Gone this morning hurrah!! ha great about the bread..........love your china!! Enjoy strictly, see you tomorrow!!!
@fannyb Yes it is exhausting but I think it is the chat that tires me out as you are inevitably standing up as they tell you all their doings & I get to feeling light headed sometimes! The more often they come the more they talk which is lovely, there is something to be said for the ones with work to go to!!! Still at the breakfast table at eleven o'clock this morning!!!
I used to like the breakfast time with B&Bs but would get them to shift eventually by saying" well, I mustn't hold you up from your travels" and they would obediently get to their feet! My hubby used to listen while I worked in the kitchen! You know the three good things, is definitely Pollyanna stuff and I agree with it!
@happypat Apricot sounds very good. My mother makes jam occasionally (as a kid she used to make such jams as damson, blackberry and also marmalade) and she just gave me a jar of greengage and hazelnut which is a new one for me. I haven't tried it yet.
Love this little vignette in blue and white surrounding your "Patricia" card! I hope you have an extended period of time with no guests booked, Pat. It sounds like you could use a bit of recovery time. Take care of your sweet self!
Judging by the number of comments here, I'd say your simple idea for a photo paid off. It's quite appealing and striking. I don't know how you manage to fit 365 in with a B&B business!
I like your "3 good things", might start using that too.
