Dropping down into Slaidburn at the end of our walk.
We dodged the showers & had a really enjoyable walk ...not too hilly or muddy, a good chat & beautiful scenery.
I didn't take my new camera as I thought it might get wet & a little too heavy when I am running to catch up after stopping to take a photo, I don't like holding people up when we are in a group.
Will have to say this does look much brighter large if you have time!!!
Three good things:
1. Good company & exercise today.
2. A lovely couple from Germany called in for B&B tonight, they have gone to the mushroom pub for a meal.
3. A surprise late golden Wedding present on the back door step when I got home this afternoon.
Simply beautiful scenery! I love the idea of your walking group...and what a great opportunity to get some fabulous photography mixed in with the exercise and friendship. Love your three good things ~ sounds like a very good day!
Beautiful ! I belong to a walking group too. Every now and then a 'walk 'with your camera' is organised. Everyone on the walk knows that it will be slower than usual.

I was disapointed with this shot when I uploaded it because every thing is green & not enough contrast between tree & grass. The scenery was stunning but a little sun would have been good for the shadows. Thank you all so much for your comments.
i do that, upload a shot and ....oh..........so not what I thought it would look like.............ho hum, we will learn gradually!! so pleased about your 3 good things though.....I have a couple who came years ago, apparently!! Viv showed them in as I was on Granny duty.........never recognised the name ooops!!
@fannyb My goodness & they do think you will remember them, many a time I am flying by the seat of my pants pretending I know all about them then you do remember & it's OK.
Our biggest difficulty with Homestays was forgetting their names after they had introduced themselves! The rest of the time was waiting for them to call the other by name! Except John calls everyone Fred and gets away with it! This is a beautiful English scene and looks a great walk! Hope the present was photographicalable.!
@maggiemae I have just written the names of tonights visitors in the book Gitta & Claus so I will remember them in the morning!! The present was Champagne & a Stuart crystal bottle stopper, rather nice!!
