This is a very popular deli in Garstang but it's so small.....only seating about eight people so you take your chance!
No wonder this girl is eating on the hoof!
Three good things:
1. The smell of the Hawthorn blossom in the hedges as you walk past.
2. Hake at half price in Booths.
3. Harry has mown the grass verge round my roadside B&B sign ......Bank holiday & no one in but not surprising if they can't see the sign!
@happypat This is good as there is enough contrast between the b/w ,strong , bold and not wishy washy !! Like you I must admit on the whole I prefer colour -- but this is good !!
Great shot! That's a bit like the Kilted Frog not far from us. Hardly any sitting in space and always busy....good sign!

This sort of photo would look good in colour as well! Looks to be a specialty shop and popular. Our new organic shop that has just opened is so expensive - one beetroot for $2 when you can get a big bunch for $2 at the Farmers Market! Do you get a lot of custom from people travelling past?
@maggiemae not that much these days maggiemae but none while the sign is hidden! Most of my guests are long standing of many years but have had some new ones lately. Quite a few booked over the summer....the other lady in the village has recently died although she reckoned she was very quiet ........I don't like being too busy these days as the old brain is slower & I tend to forget to put the sugar on the table!
