Gathering sheep by happypat

Gathering sheep

Grasmere in the Lake District taken on our return walk to the car last week.

We watched the two farmers gathering their sheep in ready for sorting.

A horrible wet windy day so a filler again today I am afraid.

Three good things:
1. Staying in warm by the fire.
2. Watching one of my favourite films The Pursuit of Happyness.
3. Satsumas.
Nice scene. Grasmere is such a lovely place

Such a gorgeous and idyllic landscape, Pat! Marvelous photo from a perfect vantage point. Stay warmly tucked inside and enjoy the movie...that's one of my favorites too.

Lovely rural scene, best not to ask what sorting means. Going out for a film myself. Hope they've got the heating on....

@fueast we almost went to see Foxcatcher Alison but I got distracted by my mobile phone bill & by the time I had sorted it we couldn't be bothered. Harry is not a film goer but might have liked that. I lured him with popcorn! Perhas in the week now. Sorting is always bad news for sheep!

There is lots to see in this photo! I do like the huddle of sheep in the green fields but also the little village. There is a fairly large building there - could be a hotel or boarding house? I loved that film too!

A lovely shot. beautiful green fields. It looks like a feature on' BBC Countryfile'

@maggiemae I am pretty sure it's The Red Lion Hotel maggiemae.....a large white hotel in the centre of Grasmere. I only just realised tonight that the littke boy in the film was actually Will Smiths son in real life!

Beautiful vista! I follow Julia and she had a theme of joy last year. This year her theme is gratitude, so I suggested she see your three good things. She did and is giving it a try. Her project is juliac

Beautiful POV Pat and lots to see. Enjoy the peace at home while you can. Weird weather here. Windy but warm. Temperature was 10.1C when I went out this morning. It normally be hovering around freezing at this time of the year.
