Packed a picnic & went to Clevelys. The weather was fabulous, no wind & warm sun.
The school holidays haven't started so we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
At 12.15 we went in to the cinema & watched The Minnions....I must say I thoroughly enjoyed, it was so funny.
It was Finns first time at the movies & a good job there was only us & another family in as he did like to move about a bit!
We had popcorn which got spilt but we owned up as we left!
A picnic on the beach & a paddle then home for a play in the garden before tea.
A really enjoyable day.
This photo doesn't look right now I have uploaded it....I think Finn should have been at the bottom....it looks slightly top heavy but too late to change it now
Three good things:
1. Smiley faces.
2. Bare feet in the sand.
3. Sea air.
I think that bottom photo should have been there al by itself! Its just lovely, particularly with Finn gazing out over those wide sands! However, its beaut to see him holding his hands out - does he want to be picked up? Being able to go to places before the school holidays start is one of the many benefits of being retired!
Both of these photos are brilliant. Sounds like you had a great day.
I often change my mind about photos after I've uploaded them so I go back to 'edit' and change them. I copy and paste the text so I don't have to re-write it.
@maggiemae Max I the boy in the bottom photo maggiemae... I dont normally like collage photos like this but they both want to be in Granny's 365 project! He was holding his hands out because they were all sandy. I think I will be steering well clear of both the cinema & sands when they break up for the summer hols!!
A beautiful pair of pics. and it sounds you had a wonderful day -- so nice when you have the beach mostly to yourself ! I agree with you I think Finn 's photo should be on the bottom and Max's on the top !!! I do love the pic. of Max gazing out to see -- somehow a very classy pose and capture . you will all have a good night sleep tonight after all that sea air !
Two lovely photos, both would be good as a one in their own right. I love the appeal of Finn holding out his hands and Max is perfectly composed looking across that great expanse.
both beautiful photos Pat. I love the little reaching hands and the way Max is gazing out to see across the sand is just wonderful. What a wonderful time you are having with them.
These are lovely Pat especially the one of Max but they both have a huge if different appeal. I just love the composition of the bottom one. Empty beaches a and sunshine are a rarity! You must have had a wonderful day.

My five years old granddaughter enjoyed The Minnions!
