Haircut day today & Rachel my hairdresser for the last ten years or so got married just over a week ago......I had a look through some of her lovely photos. They spent two nights in Liverpool & in two weeks are off to Mexico.
Three good things:
1. By chance I switched TV on today & caught an interview with Carole Kirkwood the weather lady. She was brought up in the Morar Hotel in Scotland. When we were very young our parents took us three kids....four later on, to stay at this hotel. The presenter showed an old clip of a holiday programme featuring this hotel....was wonderful to see it again. Carole was thrilled & so was I.
2. Out to the chippy with friends tonight
3. I couldn't sleep last night so when I was up for a cup of tea I suddenly remembered the shooting stars.....took myself outside in my dressing gown, leant on the wall & was rewarded with three shooting stars. The best thing is to lie in the ground & look up I believe. The sky was full of stars last night.
I like your attitude to not sleeping well.....perhaps one I need to adopt! Lovely shot and I like your selfie too! Chippy yummy! I do like to hear what you're havIng for tea.....is that a bit odd? We have now got sammy into cooking programmes, he loved GBBO, we'll have to now watch on a Friday night on player so he can stay up and watch it after Benji in bed.
@newbank Well a man who cooks is always a gem.....encourage him I say. My youngest son loves to cook! Yes go & look at the stars, I recommend it....forgot what we are looking at Persus so thing or other!
Lovely photo and really excellent good things - as always when the showers are on it's cloudy here! But it takes me back to a lovely family holiday in Cornwall where we all stood around watching shooting stars. Majesty...
Where there is a hairdresser there is bound to be a mirror! Here is you with your camera up to your eye and she is smiling so naturally! It would be nice and dark where you live to see stars - too many street lights here but used to do it in past places where we lived! Going to check out the Morar Hotel.

would love to see the meteor showers but we are too far south to see them. Only those in the far north of Australia will have a good view
