Last night I went with Cathy to a Pampered Chef party. Cathy's friend was raising money to buy a state of the art wheelchair for the daughter of the builder who has just built her house.
As you can see the view from the sitting room is amazing.
There was a bit of cooking & demonstration & the chance to buy some very expensive kitchen stuff!
Three good things:
1. We have finished all the cleaning & painting & hanging curtains next door, now I need to start on my own!
2. Jack has got back to the early 1600s in our family tree, it's all very interesting !
3. My lovely comfy chair after a busy day.
A wonderful view of the rural landscape !-- love the little black hen --a great point of interest !
I envy you the strength and energy to do all this cleaning , painting etc --- I really feel my own place needs a good Autumn clean !! -- it will come !!
This looks amazing - and so restful. I did a big pampered chef party to raise money for a trip to Uganda some years ago. It was very successful and it's a fun way to raise money. I agree though - it is very expensive but it does last well and is good quality.
This is so beautiful! A gorgeous view and such charming surroundings. Love the chicken and the potting shed!
I've been to a number of Pampered Chef parties...and you're right - the merchandise is rather pricey. But yours was for a very good cause.
Jack is doing a marvelous job with tracing your family tree! My daughter, Elizabeth, traced my side of the family back to late 1400's...all ancestors are from England.
@beryl Don't even think about cleaning in your condition Beryl.....mine looks a bit dull compared with next door but I have better things to do to be a fanatical cleaner plus so much easier she there is no furniture in.
@peggysirk Thanks Peggy, yes I once had a pampered chef evening when it first started & we just sat & watched her cook, this time we had to cook...I stood well back! The worst thing was we all had to stand round the cooking area & was really ready fir a sit down! I use my pampered chef stuff every day....those shallow oblong pans are really good for cooking sausages. I didn't buy much last night, just there to swell the numbers & look at the house!
@julzmaioro jack has got back a long way in just one week....Internet programmes are amazing they link up stuff that other people have done on your family from another angle. jacks great grandfather was one of eighteen who all stayed in this area.
The walled garden looks intriguing too - Isn't the potting shed where the young two hide to share a few stolen kisses? Never heard of a pampered chef - perhaps thats me when John does the dishes after a good meal!
@maggiemae ha ha I'm sure you are.,....pampered chef is a selling company aimed at home parties to promote & sell their wares. Sounds like a world wide organisation too but obviously not NZ!
I've never heard of Pampered Chef either Pat!. Mind you we are always a little behind the times here! Stunning view and love the way you've incuded the hen. i've done our family tree and it is fascinating although with a surname like ours I've had to edit out a lot of the internet information which has been very inaccurate. Mostly people trying to find royal connections which we haven't got!!
