I love wild flowers & always try & put some little bunches in the B&B rooms...not the working guys but the holiday guests.
I walked down the lane & not sure if it's the time if the year but I could hardly find one flower, very disappointing.
Tractor Pulling weekend in Great Eccleston this weekend. Tonight in the dark with smoke & sparks flying & tomorrow afternoon....the night time session is the most popular. Thousands go & there are cars everywhere along the roads & car parks.
It is a very noisy sport & we can hear the roar from our house. If I had ten rooms I could have filled them all!
Three good things:
1. A solution to the would be congestion at the breakfast table...one couple is leaving at 5.30am to catch a coach for a Medditeranean cruise. That just leaves all the Tractor Pullers sharing one very large table!
2. Harry the cat minder....he has looked after cats, hen & fish continually since last few days in July. No sooner does one lot of owners come back that the next lot go again usually overlapping by one day. We find the keys & a little note in the letterbox. No need for us to have our own pets!
3. The wonderful Mo Farah who won his fifth gold medal today.
A lovely vase of wild flowers ! great shot and light . the tractor pulling event sounds a good time for all competitors and spectators ! You seem to be so busy Pat -- it sounds like feeding the ten thousand !!
This tractor pulling business sounds a real drawcard for visitors who will want to stay in the area! I can't see any farmers here allowing their precious tractors to be used for this sort of activity! I love you little picture with all the whiteness signifying clean and fresh sheets and comfort! fav
@maggiemae Special tractors maggiemae just used solely for tractor pulling...it's an expensive sport. They are all custom made & have no resemblance much to a farm tractor. Lots of tractor pulling videos on You Tube, it's a world wide sport.
Lovely and a Fav for me. Good old Harry - I get a bit grumpy when I get too many neighbours to do at once. One house was so filthy and untidy that I sent Nigel round so he could see it too...
