Such gorgeous flowers delivered today from Brian & Lesley. I haven't had time yet to arrange them as we've been out most of the day. Harry just stuck them in this vase & I will ask Cathy to just titivate them when she comes round tonight.
I have a black plaster on my lower leg but can't put my foot down until after the next X Ray in the first week in May.
It's been exhausting today as I've had to walk a lot along corridors.
Shopping in Booths in a wheelchair!
Three good things:
1. Our nephew & his wife are bringing our evening meal tonight, so kind as cooking is the thing that's hard work at the beginning!
2. Promt attention at the hospital.
3. Being reminded that there are people far worse off than me health wise.
A bit out of touch on hols & so sorry to just hear about your broken ankle,Pat. Sending all good wishes. You dresser looks lovely & the flowers are beautiful. Take care!
A gorgeous bunch of flowers Pat , they look beautiful and homely just as they are ! So black plaster !! you will not have to worry of it getting dirty looking ! I am sure you must be exhausted after your day in hospital and so good to have a rest and your evening meals cooked for you both !
Today I will dedicate my post of pink tulips to you. I hope they will bring a little cheer to you. Please take care of yourself and do as the doctors say. That's always difficult when one is used to being active.
Beautiful flowers. Lucky that you have a full cast. I only had backslabs for the duration of my fractured ankle, but luckily a friend lent me a wheelchair that she used when in the same situation. I was out of action for 5 months.
Frankly I think being reminded that other people are worse off than you are is not the absolute best! It doesn't work! Glad you have the opportunity to have other people being able to give you the help that you have given in the past to them! I'm sure you do lots of thankyous!
Maybe all this crutch exercise will make you exhausted and be able to sleep well!
Beautiful spirit-lifting flowers. And those sweet faces from family portraits peeking out on the shelves are day brighteners too. I am so sorry that you have the struggle of a broken ankle to deal with, Pat. It certainly makes us appreciate the ease of good health when something is out of whack. Hang in there...better days ahead. Sending good thoughts your way!
I have read everyone of your kind comments carefully & it's so good to think everyone is thinking of me! I appreciate every one of you!
I know it will get easier & I have only broken my ankle for goodness sake but I am not used to being immobile & so I hVent much patience! I am going to get on with it & make the best of the rest, plenty of reading etc!
Another week & I will be a whiz kid on the crutches!!
I love the natural look of Harry's "arranging". You sound quite chirpy even though you must be in pain, exhausted after your tiring day and frustrated by your lack of mobility - I love your optimistic outlook about everything. And hopefully you'll be up and about again before you know it.

Great shot, BTW.
Thank you all for your lovely comments. Bit better today but still rather exhausted but I will improve!
