The Cartford Inn during its very entertaining food demo yesterday. Lots of laughter & banter between Patrick with the beard who is the French owner & his chef Chris.
Peter a butcher & food commenter from Cumbria wearing the red socks was the very entertaining link pin.
We had lots of tastes afterwards.
All their food is sourced from around a five mile radius!
No air miles at the Cartford!
I am a bit of a wreck today as my ankle is sore & swollen again. Also I have a sore wrist with wielding the big heavy teapot.
They wouldn't let me park in the nearest carpark yesterday & annoyingly in the end I was as far from the show field as home! I should have walked! I only thought this morning that I still had my crutch on the back seat, I should have used that & gone in the disabled! I wouldn't have had a sore ankle today!
Three good things:
1. Summer has arrived at last, it's hot!
2. Supper under the sun brolly.
3. Lovely salads.

Love his socks and waistcoat, you aren't going to lose him in a crowd are you. Sorry your ankle is giving you troubles again. It took about a year for mine to stop causing problems. Take it easy for a few days.
@maggiemae I would have to be nearly dead to get a disabled badge over in the UK maggie, they are like gold dust! Lots better this morning although I slipped getting out of the shower last night, crashed to the floor & really hurt my thumb. It's very sore all the way down to my wrist almost, never ends!
Looks great fun and the weather was good for it all -- sorry re the swollen ankl standing around too much while wielding the heavy teapot !! A day of rest today Pat with your feet up !!- another hot day --I am afraid I do not manage this hot weather any more !
Looks like my sort of event, well the tasting part anyway. It's so hot down here in the SW I think I could cook my tea on a shovel outside, no cooker or BBQ needed.
@maggiemae Well I went to pick up my tablets this morning & asked them if anyone could strap it up but no one available, they said to ring after two & see if there was a cancellation! I bought some strapping! Can't drive very well as its hard to get reverse gear! Automatic next time I think! I did think of going to A&we but decided not.
