We only had one car this afternoon as Brian was out in our other one. I needed to pick a bread order up at the bakery so first drop Harry off at the hairdressers for men's night.
When I had finished my jobs in the village I went to wait for him in the hairdressers.
I was cross with myself as I missed a great photo of three men sitting in a row each with a hair dresser cutting their hair. There was much bantering & joking & it would have made a brilliant photo.
Alas not a camera nor iPhone with me!
Instead you have this bragging Granny photo of Lydia & her DOE award.
Official photos arrived this week & this is ours.
Three good things:
1. Other granddaughter Alex is going with her Dunsandel Young Farmers Club to help the people in North Canterbury pack their possessions prior to being evacuated out of their homes after the earthquake.
2. Looking forward to a train ride to Glasgow tomorrow for the day.
3. I have at last packed up two strings of pearls to be have their fastenings mended. They have been sitting around for weeks!
This is a super photograph - they would of course have a good camera! Somehow there is a look of pride in all their faces! And rightly so - that award will be so good for the future. I would love to go to Glasgow in the train for a day! We don't have passenger trains anywhere down here!
Note to self: always carry your camera just in case!!!
