We spent a very interesting couple of hours exploring the wonderful Borough Market next to London Bridge.
One of the largest & oldest markets in London it celebrated its 1.000th birthday in 2014.
Stalls of every type of food you could possibly think of it was a fascinating place.
A very interesting description if you care to google.
This was one of the most colourful, such lovely fresh fruit.
I will be showing more photos of the Market as I might not take many new photos this week.
Thank you all for your good wishes re shingles, I feel ok if tired & my eye is sore so I'm going to take it easy this week.
I have got behind with looking at yours & commenting but it's hard to find the time when you're away from home.
Don't worry about commenting, Pat - we know you will still be there in the future! Its more important for you to get better. This is a really nasty illness.
Love all the colour in the market - no excuse for not having fresh fruit an vegetables in a city!
What fantastic looking markets. Yes as Maggie says you look after yourself.. Shingles can be nasty so rest up and get over it quickly.. Too late for you now but is the shingles vaccine available in the UK... both my elder sisters have just had it .. (the injection) .. so worth while I think..
Such a mouth-watering and beautiful stall of fresh fruit and vegetables ! I am glad you are being sensible in taking a rest now you are home !It's so important to reserve all your energy to get over this horrible virus ! Don't worry re commenting as Maggie says -- life and health is more important xx
