London Bridge...happier times!

Wet all day today so another filler.

Our visit to London a month ago seems quite fresh in our memory still so it seems fitting to,post pictures of happier times around the area that was so in our thoughts this weekend.

Three good things:
1. I have been buying new pillows for the B&B so we treated ourselves to some linen bedding.
2. I don't have to water the tubs tonight!
3. New unread magazines.
Very fitting. "Thumbing your nose" we'd call it around here. Yesterday was my day for buying new bedding for the boarding house too. Early winter chill required some new do ones in my case.

@jesperani Yes I can't wait to get into our bed tonight & see what the linen feels like! It was all reduced so not many buying but I love linen so hoping it's comfy. Apparently warm in the winter & cool in the summer!

A lovely reminder of normality and better days for sure -- loved your poem on fb -- so fitting and true ! How lovely to have new bed linen while I just changed my poly-cottons today to come home to a fresh bed !!

We have to remember happy times and it would be a better world if everyone could feel safe. @julzmaioro loves top quality sheets so she'll be joining this discussion!

@louannwarren ooh bamboo, I might have been tempted by them, will, let everyone know how the linen goes!

Caramel nuts sounds fabulous. Linen sheets sound even more fabulous. We purchased some bamboo sheets, at my sister's encouragement but alas they are really too soft, they can't seem to stay on the bed. Ha!

@dide I am very fussy about bed linen, it has to be white for B&B & I change the pillows often! Our new ones are grey which sounds odd but look very nice, thought white for us was a step too far for everyday but if we like might gets other set in white while they are reduced.

@beryl One of the greatest pleasures Beryl, getting into a freshly made bed!

Ok thanks for that @dide ... I confess I am a sheet snob... has to be pure cotton and a bigger the thread count the better ... and I like colour .. latest duck egg blue...

Good to have positive memories. The clouds are crying too I think!! We're expecting a real downpour tomorrow!!
Love the bedlinen element of your story!! I love nice bedlinen!!! No old grey sheets around here, hee hee!!!

Lovely to see the bridge in happier times. Such needless violence and tragedy. Yes I love the feel of freshly ironed cotton sheets too. Not so many people iron their sheets these days.

Great positive shot! Love new sheets!

Maybe they should put up something between the sidewalks and the road.
So sad the way this world is now. Bet these peanuts are yummy!!
June 5th, 2017
your summer looks chillier than our winter. Caramelised peanuts and almonds sounds nice did you try them?

This reminds me of purchasing a "Jacket Potato" with chili sauced kidney beans on top. Tasted great on a cold day!

I like all those 3 GTs! Good to see the normal look of this area. I bet those nuts smelled good but I stay away from them with all that sugary coating!
