I spent the afternoon with our grandson Jack, taking him first to the dentist in Garstang & next to the doctor in Longridge. Just check ups & an injection before he sets off at the end of July for his great adventure & new phase in his life on the JET programme teaching English in Japan for any time from a year up to five years.
While we were having a coffee in this cafe he learned he had gained a 2:1 in his Philosophy degree at the University of Sheffield, I was delighted to be there when he came back into the cafe all smiles!
Well done Jack, we are proud of you & good luck in your next venture.
Three good things:
1. All our six grandchildren & how they are learning to become good citizens in the world.
2. Hot buttered teacake.
3. Fun gift bags to put presents in.
A lovely family portrait. Good Luck to Jack in Japan - I have never been there but I am a fan of NHK TV which shows it to be a most remarkable and beautiful and cultured country.
Congrats to him and how exciting!
